Our Mission

The UCSB Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) Career Pathways Program provides opportunities for students to engage in professional development or training that will inform and prepare them for postā€graduation career opportunities or advanced academic pursuits.

This program is funded by DoD DoD HBCU/MI Award #W911NF-23-1-0291 and the Summer Institute in Mathematics and Science (SIMS). 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SACNAS Career Pathway Program

SACNAS Scholars Program

The UCSB SACNAS Scholars Program provides opportunities for undergraduate students to engage in hands-on research training during an 8-week intensive summer program and academic year leadership development. Scholars will also receive additional funding and support for academic year professional development or training opportunities.

IPS Graduate Student Program

The Individualized Professional Skills (IPS) Program is accepting applications from current graduate students and postdocs in ALL DISCIPLINES for experience dates through June 30, 2025. Grants will be awarded on a rolling basis and as funding sources permit. Applicants may submit proposals for either virtual or in-person experiences.
